This space was created as a haven to help people connect to themselves more deeply. This idea has lived inside my soul for years, and it’s time for me to give it life.
Why Roots + Ripples, you ask?
The concept of Roots and Ripples means to be rooted in your values so you can create productive ripple effects in your life. Imagine a person being firmly rooted in who they are and their life harmoniously reflecting that. Possibly you?!
If you asked me 10 years ago what my values were and how they were being reflected in my life, I would have stared at you blank in the face like a deer in a headlight. I didn’t come up with this idea because I implemented it at the time of birth and my life has been rainbows and sunshine ever since. In fact, my path was the opposite of rooted thus creating horrible ripple effects in my life. Picture this: Someone so unrooted in their values that they end up in a storm at sea on nothing but a paddle board. It didn’t have to be like that for me, but it was.
I used to operate life on complete autopilot. No attempt at really finding out more about myself, and every inclination to be influenced by people around me. Even worse, betraying myself to fit in. Fear not, this page will have articles and different tools to help you get firmly rooted in who you are, while creating lasting ripple effects in your life.
I want this to be a place jam packed with tools and wisdom for others, all while maybe making you laugh and/or cry at moments (I’m known for being a sentimental ass bitch who makes people cry and laugh within the same minute).
On this blog you’ll find articles categorized in Body, Belly, and Soul. These three avenues are what I believe have the biggest impact on a person. I’ll be sharing experiences I’ve learned along the way as it relates to each of em’. My main hope here is for people to feel more peace and harmony in their bodies and minds, and understand what’s driving their decision making. These three avenues are what I believe create that for an individual.
